A Practical Guide to Coach Bags
Coach opened its doors in 1941 producing men’s small leather goods, and women’s handbags came later before turning into the mainstay of the brand. These days, coach handbags stretch from firm shoulder bags and soft hobos to satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and archive reissues. Each and every main line is examined in turn in this guide, with details of what the bag is, when it first appeared and how it is made. Some well-known lines have no reliable launch year on record, so dates are given only where they are documented.
Prices are observed market prices from 2026 rather than an official price list, and they shift with size, material and promotions. A shopper picking a first coach bag should know that near-identical names can point to entirely different designs. Some shoppers run a search for a Coach bag by typing «couch bag», and that can pull listings for furniture into the results, as that word also means a sofa.
The Tabby Family
The Tabby is a neatly structured shoulder bag designed to be worn crossbody as well, featuring detachable straps and Signature «C» hardware. It was introduced by Stuart Vevers in 2019, taking its lines from a shape from Coach’s 1970s archive. Photographer Juergen Teller is reported to have shot its launch campaign, «Dream It Real». Offered under the main product name Tabby Shoulder Bag, it has been listed in sizes 20, 26 and 36.
The puffy Pillow Tabby followed in 2021, sold under names such as Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 With Pillow Quilting. On the US market the Tabby 26 was observed at $475, and in the UK at £475, while quilted and special-edition versions sat higher. Buyers who want one bag for both day and evening will find it suits them, because it moves easily between shoulder and crossbody wear.
The Brooklyn Line
Made in natural-grain leather, the Brooklyn is a slouchy coach shoulder bag which sits much closer to a hobo than to the structured Tabby. Having appeared on the Fall 2024 runway, it was released in August 2024. The Brooklyn 28 and the coach outlet online bigger Brooklyn 39 make up the two main sizes that have been reported. Described as roomy enough for a 15-inch laptop, the 39 is a practical choice for work.
A newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was reported for Spring 2026, and it is a separate bag from the shoulder styles. For UK shoppers the Brooklyn 28 was observed at £350 at John Lewis. When The RealReal’s 2025 resale report said searches for Coach had jumped 160%, the Brooklyn was one of the bags cited, though that figure measures searches rather than resale prices.
The Rogue Family
Coach’s structured satchel is the Rogue, which comes with top handles and a shoulder strap. First seen on the Fall 2016 runway, the bag was later discontinued; a 2021 relaunch returned it to the range. At the very top of Coach’s leather range, the line offers versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins. Observed selling for $8,000, a Rogue 25 in alligator marked the highest Coach bag price observed in 2026.
According to reports, a Made-to-Order Rogue from Coach has taken around 12 weeks to make, or about 16 weeks with exotic materials. Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own repair and resale program, has featured restored Rogue bags. Many collectors see the Rogue as a demonstration of how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship can go.
The Empire Carryall Line
The Empire Carryall is an elongated, east-west top-handle bag identified in listings as the Empire Carryall Bag 34. Its release came in February 2025, following being shown on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway. According to reports in the fashion press, it sold out on the day of its release. Softer variants called Soft Empire, including a Soft Empire 40, are different styles from the structured Carryall 34.
On Coach’s own UK website, the Empire Carryall 34 was observed at £475. For everyday carrying, its long top-handle shape gives shoppers a smarter alternative to a coach tote bag. Anyone comparing listings should confirm the number after the name, since 34 and 40 are different bags.

Kisslock Bags Compared: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel
Kisslock is the name of a frame clasp drawn from vintage coin purses, a motif Coach connects with the Bonnie Cashin era. Several different bags share the name, and they should not be mixed up. The Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather was reported as the first look shown at the Fall 2026 show with an observed price of $350. Earlier Kisslock Frame versions also show up in listings, so the family could predate that show.
The Kisslock Dreamer 21, with quilted nappa leather and rivets, is an older style now seen chiefly as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved. For its Spring 2026 season, Coach Originals brought back a 1973 design as the Kisslock Barrel Bag. The name picked up yet another use after a Kisslock Backpack was also shown for Fall 2026.
Swinger and Swing Zip: Notes on The Coach Originals
The Coach Originals is a line of freshly made reissues of archive designs, so its bags are new, not vintage. According to Coach, the original Swinger design dates from 1987; the bag is a short-strap, zip-top shoulder bag fitted with a turnlock. Also sold With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard, the Swinger Bag 20 is today’s version. Modeled on a 1998 design, the Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag, so the two names cannot be used interchangeably.
Other Originals reported in early 2025 featured the Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005. As of 2020, the Coach Originals name was reportedly in circulation. The line suits buyers who want an archive look without the wear of a properly vintage piece.
Soho: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker
Soho is one of the trickiest names in the Coach catalog as the name stretches across three different products. The original Soho Flap was launched in 2006. The Soho Bag 25 is not that 2006 bag but a newer, smaller reissue made in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard. A Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather has also been listed, and Soho styles belong to The Coach Originals.
On the other hand, the Soho Sneaker is footwear Coach showcased in 2025 and 2026, so it belongs with shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. Adding «Bag 25» or «Flap» to a search helps separate the bags from the shoe. Look at Coach’s own website before buying, because no reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured.
Willow, Cassie and Juliet
These three lines are familiar, but none has a documented launch year, so view any date you see online with caution. Willow is a pebble-leather family that has taken in the Willow Tote 24, a Willow Bucket and a Willow Shoulder bag. Coach’s own website has also listed a Custom Willow Tote, and the Willow Tote 24 is a clear example of a coach tote bag. The Cassie Crossbody Bag 19, fitted with a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps, is part of Cassie, a crossbody and top-handle design.
Coach’s own website has kept Cassie styles listed with newer style codes. Crafted in glovetanned leather, Juliet is a slouchy shoulder bag that comes in versions such as the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30. Because availability changes by season, verify whether a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current before relying on an older review.
Every Line at a Glance: Observed Prices
Below, the main lines are grouped alongside their shape, key date and an observed 2026 price where one was reliably captured. A bag’s size, material, color and promotions all influence these prices, which are observed market prices rather than an official Coach price list. UK prices include VAT, while US prices exclude sales tax. A coach outlet runs its own promotions on outlet styles, whereas full-price styles can be reduced during sales.
Run as Coach’s own official channel, Coach Outlet sells through outlet stores and an official online outlet section on Coach’s own website. In 2014, Coach’s head of investor relations was quoted as saying around 85% of outlet merchandise was made specifically for the outlet channel. That figure is somewhat dated, and Tapestry has since spoken about bringing some full-price collection product into outlets. To find current-season lines, Coach’s own website or a full-price coach store is still the place to look.
